BY COMPLETING AND SUBMITTING THIS FORM, YOU AGREE TO IAUC Student Enrollment Terms and Conditions
1. Waiver:
By enrolling in IAUC, I acknowledge and agree that participation in its programs, activities, or events is voluntary and may involve inherent risks. I hereby waive, release, and discharge IAUC, its employees, affiliates (EGLE), and representatives from any claims, liabilities, losses, damages, costs, or expenses arising from injury, loss, or damage sustained during my participation, unless caused by the willful misconduct or gross negligence of IAUC.
2. Liability:
IAUC, its affiliates, employees, and representatives shall not be held liable for any injury, loss, or damage to property or persons, whether arising from negligence or otherwise, during participation in IAUC activities. Students assume full responsibility for their own safety and personal belongings during their time at IAUC.
3. Media Release:
By enrolling in IAUC, I consent to the use of my image, name, voice, or likeness captured in any photos, videos, or media recordings during IAUC activities. These materials may be used for promotional, educational, or informational purposes across IAUC platforms and media channels without compensation or further approval.
4. Refund Policy:
Tuition refunds are NON-REFUNDABLE.
5. Policy on Copyrighted Learning Materials
Ownership of Materials:
All learning materials provided by IAUC, including but not limited to course syllabi, lecture notes, presentations, handouts, assignments, and digital resources (collectively referred to as "Learning Materials"), are protected under copyright law. These materials are the intellectual property of IAUC and/or its instructors, contributors, or licensors.
Permitted Use:
Enrolled students are granted a limited, non-exclusive, and non-transferable license to access and use the Learning Materials for their personal educational purposes only. The materials may not be used for commercial purposes or shared with individuals who are not enrolled in the course without prior written consent from IAUC.
Prohibited Actions:
Students are strictly prohibited from:
Copying, reproducing, distributing, or publishing Learning Materials in any form without authorization.Modifying, adapting, or creating derivative works based on Learning Materials.Selling, licensing, or otherwise transferring Learning Materials to any third party.Uploading Learning Materials to online platforms, public repositories, or unauthorized websites.
Access and Security:
Students must ensure that their access to Learning Materials is secure and not shared with unauthorized individuals. Passwords, access links, or login credentials provided by IAUC for material access must not be shared or disclosed.
Third-Party Materials:
Some Learning Materials may include content licensed from third-party authors, publishers, or institutions. Such materials are subject to additional terms and conditions as specified by the original copyright holder. Students are responsible for adhering to these terms.
Violation of Copyright:
Any unauthorized use of Learning Materials is a violation of IAUC’s policies and copyright law. Violators may face disciplinary action, including suspension, expulsion, or legal consequences. IAUC reserves the right to pursue legal remedies for copyright infringement.
Fair Use and Academic Integrity:
Students may use small portions of Learning Materials for personal study or academic purposes consistent with fair use principles. However, proper attribution must be given, and any use beyond fair use requires explicit permission.
Requesting Permissions:
Students or third parties seeking to use IAUC’s Learning Materials beyond the scope of this policy must submit a formal written request to IAUC’s administration. Approval will be granted on a case-by-case basis, and additional terms may apply.
Copyright Acknowledgment:
By enrolling in IAUC, students acknowledge and agree to respect the copyright of all Learning Materials provided. Students also agree to abide by IAUC’s copyright policy and understand that failure to comply may result in disciplinary or legal action.
Updates to Policy:
IAUC reserves the right to update or revise this policy as needed. Students will be informed of any changes, and continued enrollment in IAUC signifies acceptance of the updated terms.
Acknowledgment:
By signing below, I confirm that I have read, understood, and agreed to comply with IAUC’s policy on copyrighted Learning Materials.
6. IAUC Live Events Waiver and Release of Liability
By participating in any IAUC Live Event, I hereby acknowledge and agree to the following terms:
Voluntary Participation:
I understand that my participation in IAUC Live Events is entirely voluntary. I acknowledge that IAUC Live Events may involve certain risks, including physical, emotional, or mental injury, and I voluntarily assume full responsibility for these risks.
Release of Liability:
I release and discharge IAUC, its officers, employees, volunteers, affiliates, and event organizers from any claims, liabilities, demands, actions, or causes of action, known or unknown, arising out of or related to my participation in IAUC Live Events. This includes but is not limited to, claims for personal injury, property damage, or loss of any kind.
Health and Safety:
I affirm that I am in good health and physically capable of participating in IAUC Live Events. I agree to immediately inform IAUC staff if I experience any discomfort, illness, or injury during the event. I also understand that IAUC may provide general safety guidelines, but it is my responsibility to follow these guidelines and exercise caution.
Media Release:
I grant IAUC permission to capture, use, and publish photographs, video recordings, audio recordings, or other media featuring my likeness, name, and voice for promotional, educational, or informational purposes. I understand that these materials may be used in perpetuity without compensation. If I do not wish to appear in such media, I will inform IAUC in writing prior to the event.
Personal Property:
I understand that IAUC is not responsible for the loss, theft, or damage of personal belongings brought to the event. I am solely responsible for the security of my personal items.
Emergency Medical Care:
In the event of an emergency, I authorize IAUC and its representatives to seek and secure medical attention on my behalf if deemed necessary. I agree to bear any costs associated with medical care provided.
Code of Conduct:
I agree to behave respectfully and responsibly during IAUC Live Events, adhering to all event rules and guidelines. I understand that any disruptive, inappropriate, or harmful behavior may result in my removal from the event without refund or recourse.
Acknowledgment of Terms:
I confirm that I have read and understood this waiver and release of liability. I am aware that this is a binding agreement and that by signing below, I am waiving certain legal rights, including the right to sue IAUC or its affiliates for damages arising from my participation in IAUC Live Events.
Acknowledgment and Consent:
By signing this agreement, I confirm that the information provided in my application and supporting documents is true, accurate, and complete. I acknowledge that IAUC, EG, and EGLE shall not be liable for any claims, losses, damages, costs, or injuries resulting from inaccurate or incomplete information in my application.
I further consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of my personal data by IAUC for administrative and pastoral purposes, including determining my resource needs during my time at IAUC. If I have provided the personal data of other individuals in my application, I confirm that I have obtained their consent for its collection, use, and disclosure by IAUC.
